HOME & GARDEN
When being green saves green. Several of the recent penny-pinching tips we collected from staff and readers can not only help you save money, but the planet, too. Here are just a few of the tips:
• Borrow books and videos from the library rather than paying at a bookstore or video store. • Avoid bottled water. Buy a decent water bottle for everyone in the family, put their names on them, and refill. • Use newspaper instead of paper towels to clean exterior windows and glass doors.
